This facility is part of a government contractor helping our nation's Veterans through medical evaluations. The organization provides Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, operating both in dedicated facilities and through provider networks across the country.

Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Job Details:
• Location: Woodhull, IL - 1 day per week needed (within 50 miles radius) • Per diem position performing non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments • Option to work half days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours) • Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing) • No prescribing or treatment required • Quick credentialing and onboarding process • Eligible specialties: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or anyone with background in general medicine • Experience with compensation and pension exams is beneficial • Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions • Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products allowed) • Must have AANP certification • Active and unrestricted full Illinois license required • Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified • Follow-up administrative work required (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics) • Local candidates only, travel included in rates • Not available to providers who are active military duty, in reserves, or actively employed at the VA

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
